Neither snow, nor rain, nor heat, nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds.... and neither do street lights, nor bus stops, nor fences, nor dead end streets...

City Planning Commission
I'm often asked where we get the road plates for our town. The real question is, once you've got them, how do you make them into a usable town? Below is the "winning" plan for our first floor-based town. Let me show you how we put it all together...

Where Dwight Works
Once we move into the new house the Legotown will be getting some upgrades. Among the first buildings to get upgraded will be the Office Building. It will gain another floor (for a total of 4) to bring it closer in height to the Condos. With that in mind, I thought we'd take a closer look at its history so far.

Not a Geek!
Over the years I've made a lot of custom sets for the kids. One of the most popular was the TechMan company. The TechMan company started out from a single idea: I wanted to use a pair of grey panels that I'd found. From panels... there came a grey van... then an IDEA.

Upside Down
More progress toward a new house. The inspection went well and we are continuing to move forward. Every move throws your world into the blender though, so today I thought I'd show you a creation Tyler made that fit that theme. It's an armored car that was built.... upside down!

Up a Creek
We finally have a house under a sales agreement and are starting the inspection process. LOTS of room for Lego in the new place but it'll also require a lot of work before we move in-- pay a little less, have to do a little more... but in the end, you're farther ahead. The house also has a creek in the backyard and that, combined with today's picture, pretty much sums up the next 6 weeks or so: we have to keep paddling. I'll try and keep the blog alive but will certainly have less time until we are settled in the new place.

Something Fast, This Way Comes
Short post today. In case you missed it, here's the latest video on our YouTube channel. The house hunting has really taken a lot of our free time and the town has "degraded" a bit along the way. We love our loyal YouTube subscribers and I felt I owed them a quick explanation and preview of "coming attractions".

Two Are Better Than One
When I was a kid my Dad stumbled into a sale on Lego and made the best of it. Unfortunately, he had no clear memory of what sets I already had. Fortunately, with Lego, that doesn't matter. You might have see the extra large repair shop in town, for example, and maybe you noticed the bigger hospital too?
