Our cat Sophie was always intent on being AS CLOSE AS POSSIBLE to whatever we were working on, and that included the Legotown. Sophie has been gone several years now (sadly) but I thought you'd enjoy these pictures of her roaming around scaring minifigs.

The Start of the Revolution
It seemed like a peaceful day in Bricksburgh. The sun was shining. People went to work. Tourists played on the beach. And the TechMan was out making his rounds repairing things. What no one knew was that he'd left his side project in the van while he was working. And the van got hot inside. And that triggered a cooling sensor on his project. And that project was an advanced robot.
And once awakened... it started the Revolution.

CATZILLA Memories
Sophie has a long history or causing destruction and mayhem in the town. If we're truthful about it, she generally likes to just be close to us and watch what we're working on. She will carefully and gingerly step around the crowded streets and not cause any REAL damage.... But what fun is THAT?!?
So naturally we created the CATZILLA character for her to play.. and since the internet didn't already have enough cat pictures on it, here is a MEGA collection of Sophie's greatest destructive moments!

Think Warm Thoughts
Here in Pittsburgh-- like much of the country-- we are experiencing CRAZY cold weather this week.
To help get your "Lego mind" off of the extreme temperatures outside, here are some pictures from Bricksburgh's warm sandy beach and ocean front.Monday, July 29, 2013
Shark Week
I don't really have a story to go with this picture... but I keep seeing these funny Discovery Channel commercials promoting "Shark Wee" (which I assume must be very soon). I ran across this fellow in town when we were shooting the race track video.
I guess it's a bad day to be scuba diving near Tyler Beach.
We're all back from our various trips AND our last house guests left this morning, so we'll get back in the Lego groove later this week. In the meantime, there's no shortage of stuff you can catch up on at the links below.
Swim safe!

CATZILLA ATTACKS!
Sophie is our cat. She's so intent on being near us that whenever anyone enters the room where the Lego table is she promptly jumps up and finds someplace to watch us. Most of the time this involves sitting on someone or something on the table (she prefers the smooth streets but those are typically crowded). Naturally, this weird behavior has brought us a lot of fun.
Zombies Don't Obey Traffic Laws
It's hard running a civilized town when the locals become zombies... made only worse by the well known fact that zombies don't stop for red lights. Luckily for this unfortunate cab driver, the police are ready-- but ultimately our zombie friend still hasn't learned to follow traffic laws and does not use the crosswalk.
Police are chasing the stolen TechMan van when it runs a red light and gets hit by a taxi.
